SUBCAT, is the first and only SUBmarine-CATamaran worlwide that allows multiple ways of navigation. This means that the Subcat can navigates as a normal vessel on the water surface and as a Submarine up to a depth of 25 meters where the marin life is much more rich and variating.
Actually we have 3 Subcat’s operating worldwide :
”Conquistador” since 2002 on Lanzarote, Canary Islands
”Balea” since 2004 on Fuerteventura, Canary Islands and
”Atlantis” since 2005 on Bodrum, Turkey.
2 more future operations are being started in Mexico, South-Korea
The Subcat project was develloped, constructed and patented by the spanish company Subibor after 12 years of research and an investment of 12 million Euros.
Our Subcat “Balea” has a construction cost of 3 Million Euros and was finished in June 2004. The security is verified by the American Bureau of Shipping, which represents the highest possible technical qualification in this sector.
